# WayWiser API > The bid war-room for FM contractors bidding for UK public-sector work: find and qualify tenders, analyse the ITT pack into a bid plan, draft grounded answers with citations, review them against the buyer's rubric, benchmark the price, learn from every result. Decision support with citations, never advice; reviews, never score forecasts. Authenticate with an API key minted by a company admin: `Authorization: Bearer ww_live_…`. One key = one company = one member (role ceiling, optional read-only). Call `GET /me` first. Long-running work answers 202 with an `operation` pointer; GET its `poll` path (usually `/activity?target=`) until `state` is done or failed. Every non-2xx body is `{ error, code, issues?, retryAfterSeconds? }`. Repeatable POSTs are idempotent by natural key — retry the same call after a timeout. Uploads are raw bytes with `X-Filename`. ## Docs - [Agent guide](https://waywiser-api-zxgq66afoq-nw.a.run.app/docs/agents.md): keys, company pinning, rate limits, 202 + polling, uploads, idempotency, the error vocabulary, the five workflows, curl / Python / Claude Code quick starts. - [OpenAPI 3.1](https://waywiser-api-zxgq66afoq-nw.a.run.app/openapi.json): every operation with its request schema (the same validation the route runs), responses, `x-waywiser-async`, `x-waywiser-idempotency`, `x-waywiser-rate-limit`. ## Workflows - Qualify a notice → tender → upload the pack → analyse → go/no-go → plan → draft and review each question → export → submit → outcome. - Maintain the library (corpora, documents, search) and the facts bank. - Clarifications: log → batch into one email → record the buyer's reply. - Pipeline reporting: /tenders, /tenders/:id/page, /activity, /benchmarks, /cost-floor. ## Optional - MCP (Streamable HTTP, stateless) at https://waywiser-api-zxgq66afoq-nw.a.run.app/mcp with the same key — curated tools that call the routes in-process (guide §12): `claude mcp add --transport http waywiser https://waywiser-api-zxgq66afoq-nw.a.run.app/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer ww_live_…"`.
